An Apple A Day ...

Good news for apple-munchers! It looks like an apple a day does more than just keep the doctor away.

Apples are good for the teeth, too!

Mildly acidic with rough fiber-rich flesh and astringent properties, apples act like little toothbrushes that remove plaque and even stubborn stains overtime. After eating an apple, be sure to down it with a glass of water to wash away the sugar, acid, and plaque it may have removed.

So, for a bright, healthy smile, eat an apple everyday!

IF YOU HAVE TO GO, YOU JUST HAVE TO...

It isn’t like anything I’ve felt before. The pain, excruciating and searing, worsens with every step I take. Walking is a big burden, more so if I have to go up and down a flight of stairs.

I suspect another UTI attack, and I couldn’t have guessed better. My urinalysis reveals pus cells of 15-26 with traces of protein. I’ve been diagnosed with UTI before, many, many times, in fact, but I never experienced this kind of pain that lingers even long after I have gone to the BR. In fact, the pain seems not to be going away at all.

What is UTI?

Urinary Tract Infection happens when bacteria enter the opening of the urethra and multiply in the urinary tract. Being prone to UTI, women are advised to drink plenty of water, and avoid using bubble bath and scented feminine products, and resisting the urge to urinate. As the saying goes, if you have to go, you just have to go.
